Producer Robert Evans and actress Catherine Oxenberg were married Sunday in a private ceremony at his home in Beverly Hills.
This is the fifth marriage for Evans, 68, and the second for Oxenberg, 37. Best man was Evans’ son, Joshua, by wife number three, Ali MacGraw. His other wives include Sharon Hugueny, Camilla Sparv and Phyllis George. Evans has just recuperated from a mild stroke, during which time he told this columnist, “I heard the fat lady sing.”
And he plans to write a book by that title. Evans also wrote his earlier autobiography, “The Kid Stays in the Picture,” which he also narrated for a book on tape. Evans was a former child actor who became vice president in charge of production at Paramount in 1966.
Among Evans’ box office hits under his aegis: “Rosemary’s Baby,” “Goodbye, Columbus,” “Love Story” and “The Godfather” parts I and II.
Oxenberg is the daughter of Princess Elizabeth of the former Yugoslavia.
