Telemundo-owned station set for Spanish broadcast
NEW YORK — Four games of the New York Knicks basketball team in March and April will air in Spanish on the Telemundo-owned UHF TV station WNJU.
Telemundo will set up an independent production facility at the Garden to produce the separate Spanish-language feed. All of the Knicks games go out exclusively on the Madison Square Garden cable network, except for the contests picked up by the NBC network.
The four games in Spanish will be the Cleveland Cavaliers away game on March 14, the Indiana Pacers game at the Garden on March 15, and two other road games: in New Jersey against the Nets on April 4 and in Boston against the Celtics on April 5.
The announcers who’ll present the game in Spanish are Roberto Abramowitz and Clemson Smith Muniz. The producer of the telecasts is WNJU news director Ricardo Alvarez.
