Warner Bros.’ Telepictures Prods. has inked development deals with “Talk Soup” producer Alex Duda and Lifetime TV vet Susie Arnett.
The pair, who are signed to separate deals, most recently served as exec producers of Telepictures’ hourlong spec for the WB Network, “Seventeen: The Faces of Fall.” The deals call for Duda and Arnett to develop projects for network, cable and syndie outlets.
Telepictures is the home of syndie talkers “Rosie O’Donnell” and “Jenny Jones,” the newsmag “Extra” and the dating gameshows “Love Connection” and “Change of Heart.” Also in the Telepictures development pipeline are talkers fronted by Queen Latifah and Joan Lunden.
Duda and Arnett are “smart, young producers who really understand today’s audience and have proven themselves as talented, creative producers,” said Telepictures prexy Jim Paratore in announcing the deal.
Duda comes to Telepictures after spending the past eight years at the E! Entertainment cabler, most recently serving as director of programming and development. She helped develop and was the longtime exec producer of E!’s nightly serving of “Talk Soup.”
Arnett has spent the past two years as veep of programming and production for the Lifetime TV cabler, where she helped develop a host of original series and specs. Arnett also served a stint at MTV as a segment producer on its “House of Style” series.
