The WB network has renewed three dramas for next season: “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Dawson’s Creek” and “7th Heaven.”
“Dawson’s Creek” debuted in January and quickly became the network’s highest-rated series, with a 5.1/8 average Tuesdays at 9 p.m. The show is produced by Columbia TriStar TV.
“Buffy The Vampire Slayer” has averaged a 4.4/7 since it moved to Tuesday night at 8 p.m. “Buffy” is produced by 20th Century Fox TV.
“7th Heaven,” which airs Mondays at 8 p.m., is averaging a 3.8/6 this season. It’s produced by Spelling TV.
Sources say the WB also is expected to pick up most or all of its Wednesday lineup. Shows that are less likely to return include “The Tom Show” and “Three,” although no final decisions have been made.
