NEW YORK — USA Network ordered nine additional episodes of its original, action-adventure series, “The Net.”
The hourlong, produced by Columbia TriStar Television Distribution, premiered on USA on Sunday, July 19, with a 3.1 universe rating, according to Nielsen Media Research.
In its regular 9 p.m. Saturday timeslot, “The Net” has averaged a 1.4 rating. The show’s repeat run at 11 p.m. Sunday has averaged a 1.7.
Based on the theatrical film of the same name, Brooke Langton assumed the Sandra Bullock role as a computer whiz on the run from authorities because her identity has been altered to that of an international terrorist.
Irwin Winkler, Rob Cowan and Patrick Hasburgh serve as executive producers on “The Net.”
USA is carried in 73 million TV households.
