Two stations re-up ‘Seinfeld’

Cleveland, Orlando on syndie trail

The latest stops on the “Seinfeld” syndie renewal express: Cleveland, Ohio, and Orlando, Fla.

Sources say “Seinfeld” incumbent stations WOIO Cleveland and WKCF Orlando have re-upped with Columbia TriStar TV Distribution for the rerun rights to the megahit sitcom when its second syndie cycle begins in 2001.

It was unclear Thursday how much coin each station shelled out to hang onto “Seinfeld.” CTTD is understood to be seeking to double the original license fee for the show in most markets, as was the case in New York last month, when “Seinfeld” incumbent WPIX was outbid by rival WNYW.
