Ready and Diamond made veeps

NEW YORK — The Asia Pacific hybrid cable channel TNT & Cartoon Network has named Susan Ready VP of programming and planning, and Ian Diamond VP and creative director.

TNT & Cartoon, which bowed in October 1994, plays animated shorts from the Turner Broadcasting library for 16 hours a day and movies from the Turner library for the other eight hours.

Ready, who had worked as a TV executive for such British companies as Granada, LWT, Central, Thames TV and Channel 4, joined TNT & Cartoon at its inception and rose to the post of VP of creative services.

Diamond, who worked for Thames TV, TVS and Channel 4 and was a producer-director for Star TV, signed up with TNT & Cartoon in 1995 as creative director.
