TCM has Harlequin romance as original

'Loving Evangeline' to star Mancuso, Rowan, Belafonte

Showtime’s sister network TMC (the Movie Channel) has scheduled “Harlequin’s Loving Evangeline,” starring Nick Mancuso, Kelly Rowan and Shari Belafonte, as one of its original movies for October.

Exec produced by Jennifer Black and Peter Lauterman for Alliance Communications, “Evangeline” is a romantic mystery set in Nova Scotia. It’s the ninth in a series of 12 90-minute Harlequin movies that Alliance has agreed to produce for TMC.

Previous Harlequin original movies on TMC have included “Hard to Forget,” starring Chad Everett and Tim Dutton and “Diamond Girl,” starring Joely Col-lins and Dyan Cannon.
