Sofer joins ‘Melrose’

'Hospital' Emmy-winner goes from day to night

Actress Rena Sofer, who won a daytime Emmy for her role as Lois Cerillo on the sudser “General Hospital,” has joined the cast of Fox’s “Melrose Place.”

Sofer will play Eve, a singer at the club and old friend with a mysterious connection to Heather Locklear’s character Amanda. Sofer has signed on initially for seven episodes and will possibly stay on for more.

In addition to “General Hospital,” Sofer has guest starred on ‘Seinfeld,” “Caroline in the City” and “Ellen.” Her deal was inked by Karen Forman at the Metropolitan Talent Agency.
