Slayton will play Bishop in ‘Pack’

Joins Liotta, Mantegna, Cheadle in Cohen-helmed telepic

NEW YORK — Comedian Bobby Slayton will lay aside his mantle as the “pit bull of comedy” to play the role of Joey Bishop in HBO’s “The Rat Pack,” the Rob Cohen-directed film which stars Ray Liotta as Frank Sinatra, Don Cheadle as Sammy Davis Jr. and Joe Mantegna as Dean Martin.

Slayton, whose debut comedy album “Raging Bully” was just released on the Miramar label, has previously appeared in “Get Shorty,” “Ed Wood” and “Wayne’s World 2.”
