Comedian Ray Romano is set to return as host of the 25th annual People’s Choice Awards Jan. 10, to be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Daily Variety columnist Army Archerd will co-host.
Heralded as the first televised awards program of the year, the People’s Choice Awards recognizes the American public’s top favorites in 18 categories, according to Gallup polling. The kudocast airs on CBS.
Awards for three categories will be decided through votes tallied on CBS’ Web site (www.cbs.com).
Romano, who headlines the CBS comedy “Everybody Loves Raymond,” co-hosted the People’s Choice Awards last year with country singer Reba McEntire.
Walter C. Miller executive produces with Louis J. Horvitz, who also serves as the show’s director for the ninth year.
