Actress Elizabeth Perkins has been cast opposite Chris Meloni (“12 Monkeys”) in Danny Jacobson’s 20th Century Fox domestic comedy pilot for ABC called “Modern Man.”
Meloni will play a father and husband who runs a used-car dealership and raises a daughter, and Perkins will play his wife.
Perkins has starred in several feature films over the years, including “Moonlight and Valentino,” “The Flintstones,” “Miracle on 34th Street,” “Big,” “From the Hip” and “About Last Night.”
ABC also has snagged actor Russell Wong (“The Joy Luck Club”) to star in Touchstone TV’s “Honolulu CRU,” a drama about two cops in Hawaii, executive produced by Jordan Kerner and written by Mark Haskell-Smith. Wong also has starred in “New Jack City” and “Eat a Bowl of Tea.”
Separately, 20th Century Fox will no longer be involved in the UPN drama pilot “Legacy” because the two could not come to terms on the financing of the project. Atlantis Films will now produce “Legacy.”
