Paramount has purchased the UPN affiliate station in Pittsburgh for $39 million.

The acquisition of WNPA Pittsburgh, from L.A.-based Venture Technologies Group, brings the total number of outlets in the Par Stations Group fold to 19. Pittsburgh is the nation’s 19th largest TV market.
