KTLA yanks yakker ‘Live’

Show averaged a 0.5 household rating, 2 share during sweeps

“The Live Show” is dead.

KTLA will yank its 11 a.m. talkshow, co-hosted by Sam Rubin and Stephanie Edwards, as of July 3. Hour-long strip, which bowed Jan. 2, averaged a mere 0.5 household rating and 2 share during the past May sweep. Rubin will continue to serve as an entertainment reporter for KTLA and sister station WGN Chicago, while Edwards will stay in the KTLA fold as a host of its Rose Parade coverage and other specs.

KTLA will fill the programming void with a second daily installment of “Little House on the Prairie,” airing from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. weekdays. Also as of July 3, station will begin back-to-back runs of syndie talker “Sally Jessy Raphael” from 9 to 11 a.m.
