Greenspan sets Showtime docs

First Cappy Prods project to be docu on '98 Olympics

Emmy and Peabody award-winning Olympic documentarian Bud Greenspan has reached an agreement with Showtime to produce five feature-length documentaries through his Cappy Prods.

First project under the agreement, slated to premiere on Showtime this fall, will be a docu on the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. Greenspan will serve as its writer, producer and director.

Following that, Greenspan has committed to making a doc featuring the triumphs and little-known stories of the Olympic contenders over the 102-year history of the modern Olympic movement as well as a project featuring the great legends and moments from Olympic boxing.

Greenspan is considered the world’s foremost Olympic historian and one of the TV industry’s most acclaimed chroniclers of the world of sports.
