Swann expected to slide into vet exec's slot
John Goldhammer has ankled his post as an exec producer of Columbia TriStar TV Distribution’s syndie latenight strip “Vibe.”
Goldhammer is expected to pass the showrunner’s baton today to Kim Swann, a former producer of the Fox morning show “Fox After Breakfast.” Swann most recently has been working for Col TriStar TV on a talkshow development project with Ed Lover.
A CTTD rep declined to comment Friday on changes at the helm of “Vibe,” whose exec producers also include Quincy Jones, David Salzman and host Sinbad.
Sources say Goldhammer’s tenure with the show was expected to be short-lived from the start. The veteran TV producer was brought on board in early November, a few weeks after Sinbad was tapped to replace original “Vibe” host Chris Spencer, to help revamp the fledgling show and shore up its production staff. Since then, the show’s ratings have improved, allowing CTTD to seal second-season renewal deals with key “Vibe” affiliate stations.
Sources say Swann may also have been tapped on an interim basis until CTTD, Jones and Salzman settle on a permanent replacement for Goldhammer.
