Fox inks prod’n pair

Spencer, Zeleski sign two-year development deal

Fox TV Studios has inked a two-year development deal with writers-producers Jeff Spencer and Alan Zeleski.

The duo will create series and longform projects for the fledgling mini-studio at News Corp., which will focus on producing programming outside the traditional 20th Century Fox TV studio system for all outlets.

Spencer and Zeleski are former Leo Burnett executives who wrote the unproduced feature scripts “Learning to Fly” for Universal and “Low Lifes” at Sony. They also wrote a one-hour pilot “Nuevo Mondo,” which was not picked up last season.

Their deal was inked by Jeff Okin at Metropolitan Talent Agency and attorney Howard Abramson.
