The Disney Channel has ordered 65 episodes of a gameshow strip from Dick Clark Prods. that’s based on the Price Stern Sloan series of Mad Libs fill-in-the-blank party-game books.
Skedded for a summertime premiere on the cabler, “Mad Libs” pits two teams of kids trying to create the funniest and most outrageous phrases and stories, incorporating stunts and charades.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the first Mad Libs release. The books feature stories with spaces left blank to be filled in with various nouns, verbs, adjectives and other parts of speech. A player is asked to provide each word without hearing the context of the story.
