WASHINGTON, D.C. — The high-definition TV picture could get a little clearer this morning when C-Span devotes its daily “Washington Journal” program to HDTV.
Moderated by Connie Brod, the roundtable discussion from 4:30 to 10 a.m. will feature Steve Effros, president of the Cable Telecommunications Assn.; Gary Shapiro, president of the Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Assn. (CEMA); and Paul Misener, chief of staff for FCC commissioner Harold Furchtgott-Roth.
The two and a half-hour show also includes a taped tour of experimental HDTV station WHD (Washington, D.C.) and comments by District Cablevision GM Brad Anderson on the implications to cable systems of HDTV carriage.
