Brooks inks 1-year pact with Par TV

'Hitz' thesp signs first-look deal

Claude Brooks, who most recently starred in and acted as a consultant on the Paramount Network Television comedy series “Hitz” for UPN, has inked a one-year, first-look development deal with the Paramount Television Group.

Under the terms of the deal, Brooks will develop and produce series for network and syndication through his production company C to the B Prods., which will be based at the Par lot.

Melanie Mack will serve as C to the B’s VP of development. She was previously manager of development and production for FX Networks.

Brooks has created, co-produced and starred in the USA series “Claude’s Crib” and was a series regular on “True Colors,” “Amen” and “Homeroom.
