Blake is shuttling to Disney’s ‘Max Q’

Bruckheimer making TV debut

Geoffrey Blake has inked to star in the Disney/ABC telepic “Max Q,” which begins shooting in Vancouver this month.

Michael Shapiro directs the two-hour telepic, which is being exec produced by Jerry Bruckheimer — the filmmaker’s first foray into TV production. The cast also includes Bill Campbell. Written by John Lee Hancock and Robert Avrech, “Max Q” is being produced with NASA’s cooperation. Blake plays a journalist on a space shuttle that is damaged during a mission and the crew must find a way to navigate it back to Earth.

The actor’s deal was brokered by Lilianna Laouri of Innovative Artists and by manager Michael Levine of Levine Management.
