’99 cable TV confab site set for L.A.

'Cable Clicks!'-themed event skedded for Dec. 14-17

The Western Cable Show, the cable television confab hosted by the California Cable Television Assn. (CCTA), will be held in 1999 and 2000 at the Los Angeles Convention Center instead of the Anaheim Convention Center, which will be under expansion construction. The 1999 Western Show is scheduled for Dec. 14-17.

Focusing on technological advances, Cable Clicks! will be the theme for the upcoming 1998 Western Show, scheduled for Dec. 1-4 in Anaheim. The confab will also include the sixth annual CableNET exhibit, a joint project of CCTA and CableLabs, which provides a technological showcase where leading suppliers in the telecommunications industry work together to create a “network of the future” that includes the kinds of services consumers will use everyday.
