Producers looking forward to bash
October Films will launch the Trey Parker-directed porn spoof “Orgazmo” with a poolside bash at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles on Oct. 18.
The film, which opens Oct. 23, stars “South Park” co-creator Parker as Joe Young, a hunky but virtuous Mormon who unwittingly becomes part of the porn industry, making it big as the superhero Orgazmo. When his fiance finds out how he’s suddenly making money, she forbids him from appearing in a sequel and is herself kidnapped.
After securing the mansion for a premiere that would surely make Austin Powers jealous, October partners Scott Greenstein, John Schmidt and Bingham Ray were gleeful about the chance to rub elbows with Hugh Hefner and the scantily clad bunnies who are poolside fixtures. “We are thrilled to be able to launch this outrageous film with an unprecedented all-celebrity party at the Playboy Mansion,” they enthused. “This is a perfect match in every way.”
October will put together a guest list with Parker and his “South Park” cohort Matt Stone, who produced the film along with Fran Kuzui and Jason McHugh. Parker and Stone are the subjects of an October Playboy magazine feature.
