Doh boy makes record appearance

“Saturday Night Live” alum Mr. Bill showed up as a 15-foot high Play-Doh figure at Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade in an attempt to make the Guinness Book of Records.

Mr. Bill’s presence Thursday through Sunday was to promote the Fox Family Channel, which was launched Saturday.

Mr. Bill, who had a special covering and was sprayed with water regularly, didn’t suffer from the heat, while around him wilted John Salley, Fox Family primetime host; Haim Saban, chairman, Fox Kids Worldwide and Saban Entertainment; Rich Cronin, Fox Family and Fox Kids Network prexy; and Walter Williams, creator and director of “Ohh Nooo!!! Mr. Bill Presents.”
