Peter Tors, an actor, stuntman and director and son of the late Ivan Tors, producer of the film “Flipper,” died July 29 of a massive heart attack in Miami, Fla. He was 41.Tors began his film career as an actor and was featured in “Escape From Angola” in 1976. He continued screen work as a stuntman in several films including “American Tiger” (1989) and “Bad Boys” (1995). Tors next tackled behind-the-scenes positions, directing “Looking for Trouble” (1996) and acting as producer on several independent films. Born in Beverly Hills, Tors spent his childhood traveling with his family throughout the world. He contributed to several projects helmed by his father, Ivan Tors, the producer of many films and TV shows, including “Flipper” (1963) and the series “Gentle Ben.” Tors’ father also directed films and wrote screenplays. Tors is survived by his daughter.
