Fox Music ups Ginsburg to VP

Music clearance veep to oversee soundtracks for film, TV

Ellen Ginsburg has been upped to VP, music clearance of Fox Music where she will be responsible for music clearance and soundtrack clearance for all Fox films and television shows.

Ginsburg joined Fox last year as exec director of music clearance and has worked on soundtracks for “Bulworth,” “Hope Floats,” “Titanic,” “Soul Food,” “Anastasia,” “Great Expectations” and “Out to Sea.” She is working on those for the upcoming “Dr. Dolittle,” “There’s Something About Mary” and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back.” In addition, Ginsburg supervises music clearance for all Twentieth Century Fox Television shows including “Ally McBeal,” “Dharma & Greg,” “The X-Files, “Chicago Hope,” “King of the Hill” and “The Simpsons.”

Prior to joining Fox, Ginsburg was head of west coast music in business affairs at HBO in LA.
