Showscan Entertainment Inc., the Culver City-based simulated-movie producer, has realigned its corporate structure.
Among the promotions, veep of worldwide sales Russell Chesley has been upped to senior veep, with responsibilities in sales and marketing, film production and acquisitions, film financing and new markets.
Michael Ellis, who joined Showscan as veep of engineering and product development in 1994, has been upped to senior veep and will oversee theater operations, film licensing and distribution, customer service, theater installation and thrill-ride motion programming, post-production services and designated new ventures.
Ernest Bakenie has been upped to the position of veep, sales and marketing.
Director of human resources Patti Gordon has been upped to veep of human resources and corporate services, Jeanne Lucas was upped to veep of Showscan Studios, the company’s film production and development arm, and Marc Sabella has been upped to VP, corporate controller and secretary of the company.
According to Showscan prexy and CEO Dennis Pope, the revamped executive team will play a key role in “returning Showscan to profitability.”
