Approximately 400 guests helped raise more that $1 million to fight cancer at the first Cure by the Shore gala, held May 16 at Les Allees Park here.
The late-afternoon party, presented by QVC and the Entertainment Industry Foundation, benefited the National Women’s Cancer Research Alliance. Alliance co-founder Lilly Tartikoff and fest jury prexy Martin Scorsese chaired the event, with model/writer Veronica Webb serving as celebrity host.
ICM’s Jeff Berg, QVC veepee Fred Siegel and EIF prexy-CEO Lisa Paulson were among the notables who partied in the rainproof tents set up in the park. Also making the scene were Steve Stabler, Ray Ban prexy Bob Moore, Emmanuel Nunez, Barr Potter, Dennis Davidson; and Suzan Mischer and Ben Beaugeois, respective exec producer and co-producer of Cure.
Celebs munching on the food from J+H Catering of Paris, and enjoying the retro music of Portland, Ore., band Pink Martini included Jeanne Tripplehorn, Dominique Swain, Bronson Pinchot, Robert Loggia, Adam Goldberg and Sam Moore.
