Col grabs int'l rights to 'Fortress II,' 'Disturbing Behavior'
Village Roadshow Pictures Worldwide has pacted with Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group on two upcoming projects.
Col TriStar has taken all major international rights, with the exclusion of Germany, to David Nutter’s psychological thriller “Disturbing Behavior,” which stars James Marsden, Nick Stahl and Katie Holmes. Highlight Films has German rights.
The film is an MGM Pictures production in association with Village Roadshow-Hoyts Partnership. Pic was written by Scott Rosenberg (“Con Air”) and is being produced by Jon Shestack and Armyan Bernstein (“Air Force One”).
Col TriStar and Village will co-produce “Fortress II,” a sequel to the 1993 sci-fi actioner starring Christopher Lambert and Kurtwood Smith. Lambert is in talks to star, and Geoff Murphy (“Young Guns II”) is in talks to direct. Col TriStar will distribute “Fortress II” worldwide outside Australia and New Zealand, where it will be handled by Village.
