WB ponies up for ‘Cats and Dogs’

Studio pays low six figures for pitch

Warner Bros. has taken a bite out of a pitch called “Cats and Dogs” from scribes Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.

Pitch is set in a high-tech spy world involving cats and dogs. It follows the exploits of the animals when humans aren’t looking. Ficarra and Requa earned a low six-figure sum for the pitch.

Zide Perry Films is producing the project. No other elements are attached.

Ficarra and Requa are regular scripters on the Nickelodeon series “Angry Beavers.” They penned “Jack Tucker Trucker” for Nicolas Cage’s Saturn Films.

The deal for Ricarra and Requa was brokered by attorney Jeff Frankel and their manager Chris Bender of Zide Entertainment.
