Thesp joins Prinze Jr., Cook, Paquin in teen comedy

Paul Walker has joined Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachel Leigh Cook and Anna Paquin in Miramax Films’ teen romantic comedy “She’s All That,” which starts shooting Wednesday in L.A.

Walker plays a highschooler who bets his best friend (Prinze) that the popular stud can’t turn a geeky introvert (Cook)into a prom queen.

R. Lee Fleming Jr. penned the script; Robert Iscove is directing. FilmColony’s Richard Gladstein and Tapestry Films’ Peter Abrams and Robert Levy are producing.

Walker’s upcoming roles include New Line’s “Pleasantville,” Paramount’s “Varsity Blues” and Fox’s “Brokedown Palace.”

He was repped in the deal by Paradigm’s Scott Melrose and manager John Carrabino. Cary Meadow, vice president of business and legal affairs, repped Miramax.
