UTA puts Douglas in ‘Bottle’

She'll star alongside Costner in DiNovi-produced pic

Illeana Douglas has left Creative Artists Agency and signed with United Talent Agency, which has landed her a role in the Warner Bros. Kevin Costner starrer “Message in a Bottle.”

Douglas will play Lina, a researcher. Denise Di Novi is producing the project, which is set to begin shooting in late March, with Luis Mandoki directing.

Douglas starred in Gramercy’s 1996 pic “Grace of My Heart.” Other acting credits include Gus Van Sant’s “To Die For,” “Bella Mafia,” “Picture Perfect” and “Quiz Show.”

Douglas is developing “The Lost Army,” a dark romantic comedy written by Kenny Lonergan, in which she’ll have producing and starring roles. She’s also starring in upcoming independent features “Hacks” and “Fly Paper.”

Douglas is managed by Melissa Prophet at Baumgarten/Prophet Entertainment.
