James Urbaniak, currently starring opposite Parker Posey and Thomas Jay Ryan in Hal Hartley’s latest film “Henry Fool,” has been cast in Woody Allen’s fall project.
The new role promises more mainstream exposure for Urbaniak, who previously starred in such indie pics as Hilary Brougher’s “The Sticky Fingers of Time” and Phil Dolin’s “B-Movie.”
Allen is notoriously secretive about the plot and characters of his projects, so no details were available about Urbaniak’s role in the ensemble film.
Urbaniak honed his craft in such Off Broadway productions as “The Imaginary Invalid” for Joseph Papp’s Public Theater and “The Universe,” for which he received a 1996 Obie Award for distinguished performance.
He is repped by Abrams Artists Agency.
