Shawnee Smith, who has a supporting role in the upcoming “Armageddon,” has joined Bruce Willis again for the indie pic “Breakfast of Champions.”
Smith also joins Nick Nolte and Albert Finney, who round out the cast for the drama based on Kurt Vonnegut’s novel.
Alan Rudolph is directing the pic, which is currently in production. Willis is producing along with David Blocker.
Pic is about a man named Dwayne Hoover and his descent into madness. Smith plays a young waitress who seeks the help of Hoover.
Smith’s credits include “Leaving Las Vegas,” “Desperate Hours,” “Who’s Harry Crumb?” and “Summer School.” She also recently starred in two Sundance Film Festival preems: “Dogstown” and “Every Dog Has Its Day.”
She is repped by manager Audrey Caan and Innovative Artists. Her lawyer is Matt Johnson.
