Aidan Quinn has joined the cast of Warner Bros.’ supernatural comedy “Practical Magic,” currently lensing under the helm of Griffin Dunne.
Quinn will play opposite Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing in the pic, which is based on a novel by Alice Hoffman.
Quinn recently completed DreamWorks’ “In Dreams,” directed by Neil Jordan, and will next be seen in the upcoming film “This Is My Father,” which he co-produced with his two brothers, Declan, who was also director of photography, and Paul, who wrote and directed.
Quinn’s recent film credits include “Legends of the Fall,” “Michael Collins,” “Looking for Richard” and “Commandments.”
“Practical Magic” is about an extended family of women who descend from a long line of witches. The younger members of the family use their magical powers to solve their romantic woes. Robin Swicord scripted the adaptation and Denise DiNovi is producing.
Quinn is repped by his agent, Josh Lieberman of Creative Artists Agency, and by his manager Bill Unger of Tidewater Entertainment.
