Academy Award nominee Lena Olin has joined the cast of Universal’s upcoming “Mystery Men.” The actress joins William Macy, Geoffrey Rush, Hank Azaria and Janeane Garofalo in the Kinka Usher pic.
Lawrence Gordon, Mike Richardson and Lloyd Levin will produce. Lensing will begin this fall.
Olin is currently shooting Roman Polanski’s “The Ninth Gate” in Paris alongside Johnny Depp and can be seen in Fox Searchlight’s “Polish Wedding” opposite Claire Danes and Gabriel Byrne.
Olin made her U.S. film debut in 1988’s “The Unbearable Lightness of Being,” and has gone on to appear in such films as “Enemies, A Love Story,” “Romeo’s Bleeding,” “Havana,” and “Fanny and Alexander,” among others.
Olin is repped by ICM’s Martha Lutrell and Industry Entertainment’s Eric Kranzler and Katie Mason.
