Producer Alexander Tabrizi, formerly behind Tri Vision Pictures, has joined Mastermind Entertainment as president of worldwide production.
He will be responsible for financing and producing midrange features for Mastermind, which is developing “Officer Bob,” with Jason Alexander, and “The Red Door,” starring Diane Lane, Stockard Channing and Rod Steiger.
Tabrizi’s resume includes stints at Lee Intl., Musifilm, Twin Continental Films and Solomon Intl./Quadra Entertainment. He also had a development deal at Universal in the early 1990s.
At Tri Vision, he produced films such as “Justice,” with James Belushi; “Perfect Target,” for HBO; “Stranger in the House,” with Michele Green; and “Save Me,” starring Harry Hamlin and distribbed by Columbia/TriStar. At Lee in the early ’80s, Tabrizi helped put together “Screwballs” for New World Pictures and “A Time to Die,” with Rex Harrison, for Vestron.
Mastermind CEO Alan Saffron called Tabrizi “an experienced and well-respected producer” and said he expects their relationship to be “very long and prosperous.”
