NEW YORK — “Mad About You” exec producer and head writer Victor Levin will make his feature film directorial debut with “The Successor,” which will be produced by Redeemable Features.
The New York-based Redeemable is run by Ira Deutchman, Peter Newman and Greg Johnson.
Penned by Levin, “Successor” is a comedy about the special relationship between a young doctor and his grandfather.
Ready for features
“Victor is precisely the type of new writer-director that Redeemable is constantly seeking out,” Deutchman said. “Victor is a sophisticated and mature talent with a fully developed creative vision. He is more than ready to take the helm of a feature film and do a terrific job.”
Redeemable has five projects in post-production: Sarah Kernochan’s “Strike” (formerly “The Hairy Bird”), Paul Auster’s “Lulu on the Bridge,” Adam Davidson’s “Way Past Cool,” Mark Christopher’s “54” and Nancy Savoca’s “24 Hour Woman,” a co-production with the Shooting Gallery.
