Mace Neufeld ups Symons

AFI grad slides into development director slot

Kel Symons has been upped to director of development for Paramount-based Mace Neufeld Prods.

A screenwriting graduate of the American Film Institute, Symons had been a story editor since joining the company a year ago.

In that time, he has taken on development duties for several projects under Neufeld’s exclusive deal with Par, including “The General’s Daughter,” currently in production with Simon West directing and John Travolta and Madeline Stowe starring.

While attending AFI, Symons worked on the Davis Entertainment/NBC miniseries “Asteroid” and the WB pilot “Three.”
