Ex-Alphabet news producer joins De Vito's co.

Julia Eisenman, a former TV news producer for ABC, has joined Jersey Films as a VP of development.

Eisenman will report to Gail Lyon, prexy of Jersey.

Eisenman has produced “Kennedy and King” for Turner Television, “Life’s Greatest Holiday Stories” for CBS and segments of “The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder.”

In the news area, she has produced segments for ABC’s “Nightline,” “Primetime Live” and “Day One.”

She also won an Emmy last year for the TV special “Life Looks at AIDS.”

“In an imperfect world, Julia has a perfect background for development,” Lyon said. “Her work in news gave her the ability to know a good story instantly.”

Jersey, which is run by Danny De Vito, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher, is in production on “Man on the Moon” with Jim Carrey starring as comedian Andy Kaufman.
