Forget agents and studio execs, Thomas Jane will literally be swimming with sharks in Warner Bros.’ effects-driven actioner “Deep Blue Sea.”
Jane will star in the Renny Harlin-helmed pic about mako sharks enhanced by bio-engineering.
The young thesp plays Carter Blake, a shark wrangler at an offshore laboratory who leads his colleagues in springing the fish, which are bred to be faster, smarter and more vicious than regular sharks.
Jane recently wrapped shooting on MGM’s “Rescue Me” with Elisabeth Shue and Aaron Eckhart.
His other credits include the upcoming indie feature “The Velocity of Gary,” directed by Dan Ireland; Terrence Malick’s “The Thin Red Line”; and Gramercy’s “Thursday,” with Eckhart and Paulina Porizkova.
