Paramount senior VP Tom Levine is in talks to segue into an exec role at Lorne Michaels’ new Par-based, NBC-backed feature production entity.
Michaels is putting together a new team to make movies, most of which will be based on SNLbrin sketches. The projects will be co-financed by the Peacock Web and distributed by Par (Daily Variety, June 29). His previous company, Broadway Pictures, is being disbanded, according to sources.
Levine served as veep at Carolco and Largo before joining Par in 1993 as VP of production. At the studio he oversaw a number of productions including “The Brady Bunch Movie,” “Event Horizon,” “Face/Off” and the recent hit “Deep Impact.”
