Globes set timetable

Awards to be handed out January 24th

The Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. has announced the timetable for events leading to the 56th annual Golden Globe Awards, which will be handed out Jan. 24 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Key dates are as follows:

  • Oct. 29: Final screenings of television entries.

  • Nov. 13: Deadline for Golden Globe entry forms.

  • Dec. 4: Nomination ballots mailed to HFPA members.

  • Dec. 10: Final screenings of motion picture entries.

  • Dec. 14: Deadline for receipt of nomination ballots.

  • Dec. 17: Nominations announced.

  • Jan. 8: Final ballots mailed to HFPA members.

  • Jan. 20: Deadline for receipt of final ballots.

  • Jan. 24: Presentation of Golden Globes.

The show will be produced by Dick Clark Prods. and broadcast live by NBC.
