Forsythe set for ‘Marshal’

Thesp to star opposite Glenn in Newman/Tooley actioner

William Forsythe, who has appeared in such pics as “Weeds,” “Raising Arizona” and “Once Upon a Time in America,” has signed on to star in the Newman/Tooley Films indie production “The Last Marshal.”

Forsythe will play opposite Scott Glenn, with whom the actor co-starred in Fox’s “Firestorm.” Also starring are Constance Marie, Vincent Costellanos, Raymond Cruz and Randall Batinkoff.

In “Marshall,” Forsythe plays a notorious and eccentric Miami drug runner for a powerful Mexican cartel. Mike Kirton is directing from a script he co-wrote with Scott Wiper. Pic is being produced by Vincent Newman, Tucker Tooley and Joseph Nitollo. Russell Gray and Justin Urbas exec produce.

Forsythe, who’ll next be seen in TNT’s “A Dollar for the Dead,” was repped in the “Marshall” deal by Kimberly Hines of Hines Management.
