Rebecca De Mornay has signed to star opposite Alec Baldwin in the indie crime drama “Thick as Thieves.”
Pic, which begins shooting in April, also stars Michael Jai White (“Spawn”), Andre Braugher (“Primal Fear”), Janeane Garofalo, Gavin Polone and Julia Sweeney.
Scott Sanders is directing the film, which he co-wrote with Arthur Krystal.
“Thieves” is based on a bestselling book by Patrick Quinn. Set in Chicago, Detroit and Indianapolis, the story is about a crook who is double-crossed after a complex heist. De Mornay plays a detective investigating the heist.
Film is being produced by Donald Zuckerman, Glenn Zoller and Jon Steingart and executive produced by Andrew Pfeffer, Etchie Stroh and Willi Baer.
“Thieves” is being financed by Dream Rock, a new production and sales entity headed by Moonstone Entertainment’s Stroh.
De Mornay’s credits include “Risky Business,” “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle,” “Never Talk to Strangers” and “The Winner.”
She was repped by manager Beth Cannon and ICM’s Steve Dontanville.
