Paul Bernard will direct the independent thriller “Phobia” for New York-based Arrow Entertainment.
Bernard has worked as assistant director on numerous studio films, including “Mission: Impossible,” “Die Hard With a Vengeance” and “Godzilla.”
Slated to begin shooting this fall in upstate New York, “Phobia” tells the story of a woman who confronts the fears that threaten to destroy her marriage.
Pic will be produced by Arrow’s Wayne Keeley and James Scura and Mathew Dunne.
Bernard previously directed “Loose Women” starring Charlie Sheen and Giancarlo Esposito. Last year, Bernard, Scura and Dunne formed the production company Third Man Films.
Third Man’s first production was “Mixing Nia,” starring Karyn Parsons (“Fresh Prince of Bel Air”) and Isaiah Washington (“Love Jones”), which recently screened at the Urbanworld Film Festival.
