Christine Baranski, currently on screens in Warren Beatty’s “Bulworth,” has nabbed two new roles.
Baranski is joining the cast of “Bowfinger’s Big Thing,” starring Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy and Heather Graham. Frank Oz is directing the pic, which Martin scripted and Brian Grazer is producing for Universal.
Baranski will also appear in “Cruel Inventions” starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon. Roger Kumble is directing for Columbia Pictures. Neil H. Mortiz is producing.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Baranski is best known for her award-winning portrayal of the hard-drinking Maryann Thorpe on the CBS series “Cybill.”
Her legit credits include “The Real Thing,” Neil Simon’s “Rumors,” “Hurlyburly” and “The House of Blue Leaves.”
Baranski appeared on the bigscreen in “The Birdcage,” “Reversal of Fortune,” “Jeffrey,” “Addams Family Values” and “Legal Eagles.”
She is managed by Lisa Loosemore at First Artists and repped by Kevin Huvane and Scott Landis at CAA.
