Lining up what could be her fourth film with 20th Century Fox, “Friends” co-star Jennifer Aniston is attached to star in Fox 2000’s “Animal Husbandry.” Lynda Obst is producing the project, which is based on Laura Zigman’s comedic novel about an intelligent woman so upset about being dumped that she spends a lot of her time theorizing about the impossibility of having a lasting relationship with a man.
With Aniston onboard, Fox now is seeking a director the studio and star can agree upon. According to sources, one candidate is Obst, who expressed interest in making her helming debut on the film. That doesn’t look likely to happen, however, as Fox 2000 is looking for helmers with more directorial credits under their belts.
Obst didn’t return calls seeking comment.
Aniston, who next appears in 20th Century Fox’s “The Object of My Affection,” also has starred in Fox’s “Picture Perfect” and Fox Searchlight’s “She’s the One.”
