Animation director Henry Anderson has joined Sony Picture Imageworks, where he’ll join the f/x shop’s digital character group.
Anderson’s first project is Columbia’s “Stuart Little,” a primarily live-action film whose title character, along with numerous other characters, will be created by computer graphics and animation artists at Imageworks. Anderson joins senior visual effects supervisor John Dykstra and visual effects supervisor Jerome Chen on the project.
Anderson, who won a visual effects Emmy for his work on “The Last Halloween,” created the animated polar bear in a series of Coca-Cola commercials. He has worked at numerous effects and animation studios, including Rhythm & Hues, Pixar, Pacific Data Images, Digital Domain and Blue Sky/VIFX.
