Reed Midem to create cyberspace tv, film market

Trade show specialist the Reed Midem Organization will soon unveil a permanent cyberspace market for films and TV shows to be called Mip Interactive.

The service will be christened during the upcoming Mipcom TV market in Cannes in early October, and is designed for both buyers and sellers of TV shows and features films.

Buyers will be able to use the service as a fast and precise research tool to identify program genres, formats, audience targets and availability of rights. Producers and distributors will be able to use the service to promote their shows and search out potential clients.

Professionals in the film and TV industry can register and customize their profiles in order to receive targeted information about the latest market moves, according to Reed Midem CEO Xavier Roy.

All potential customers who register before the end of Mipcom will benefit from a 40% discount on their first year’s subscription, which will run until the end of 1999.
